Do you know how they say don’t judge a book by its cover? When it comes to the Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid, that couldn’t be more true. Called a product for blackheads, but that’s far from all it does. The Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid does so much more than simply targeting blackheads (not that that’s simple!). It’s one of those skincare products that I don’t know how I ever lived without!
In this review you’ll discover:
- Why it’s unique
- The benefits it has on the skin
- How to use it
- Its ingredients
- What to expect from it
What is Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid
The Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid is made by a Korean Skincare brand- Cosrx which is known for its affordable yet quality skincare. The Blackhead Power Liquid’s main function is to clean out those pores, which by doing so, gets rid of blackheads and other pimples, over time giving you smoother, clearer skin. I say the main function because it does so much more than just cleaning out pores.
It’s essentially a liquid exfoliator designed for all skin types. One of the main differences between this product and all other exfoliators is how gentle the Blackhead Power Liquid is on the skin. But more on that soon…
|Active Ingredients||Betaine Salicylate 4%|
|Skin Type:||Normal, Dry, Combination Acne-Prone, Oily|
Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid Benefits
The Blackhead Power Liquid has so many benefits for the skin. Aside from tackling blackheads, and cleaning out the pores making them reduce in size and appear smaller, it also reduces breakouts and pimples, in its place, giving you smooth and clearer skin!
It does all this by balancing the oil production in your skin. But the fabulousness doesn’t end there. BHA Blackhead Power Liquid also reduces marks from spots and improves skin tone, boosts radiance and moisturizes the skin.
How To Use Cosrx Blackhead Power Liquid Step By Step
After cleansing your face in the evening, using a cotton wool pad, gently apply the liquid to your face avoiding the lip and eye area. If you use the exfoliator during the day, make sure to follow up with quality sunscreen.
Wait until the liquid is dry to apply moisturizer. It only takes a couple of minutes to absorb into the skin.
To use the exfoliator, build up the usage slowly. This is especially important for those who are new to using strong ingredients like BHAs and for those with sensitive skin. Skin takes time to adjust to new ingredients so be patient and give your skin time to get used to it. Once your skin has adjusted, use the exfoliator 2-3 times a week.
My Honest Review Using the Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid
I’ve been using the Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid for quite a few months now and I love it! Honestly, when I bought it, I was expecting a ‘regular’ exfoliator, and by that, I mean a little rough around the edges, drying and uncomfortable for the skin.
The Blackhead Power Liquid is nothing like that. Instead of rough, you get gentle. Instead of burning, you get soothing. Instead of dry skin, you get soft, smooth skin.
The first few times I used it, I genuinely thought it was one of those skincare products that I wasted my money on, after all, we all have those sitting in our skincare collections! However, I decided to stick it out for a bit longer and see if all the hype is really true.
Blackhead Power Liquid Before and After
After using it for about a week, I began to notice the changes. But to understand my experience, you need to know more about my skin. Until a few years ago I had combination skin- a very oily T-zone with dry patches in areas. As I hit my 30s, my skin started drying out and I find myself reaching for my moisturizer more than ever.
But my combination skin was never my biggest pet peeve. Nope, that’s my open pores, blackheads and regular pimples. Over the years, I’ve tried many, many methods, like DIY blackhead recipes and many products like masks for blackheads to reduce my open pores and get rid of my blackheads.
Nothing worked quite like the Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid. Aside from how pleasant it is to use, it cleans out my pores, has reduced them in size and made a huge dent in my blackheads without drying out my skin. While I can’t say all my blackheads have gone, they’re far less noticeable and far fewer in number.
Another thing I noticed is that I barely get pimples anymore and that’s due to the Power Liquid removing dead skin cells creating a better environment for cell renewal. My skin is more radiant, has a smoother texture and feels so much healthier!
One of my favorite features of the BHA Blackhead Power Liquid is its texture. It’s somewhat between a liquid and a serum. I love how it doesn’t have the smell that so often comes with strong products. Nor is it sticky. It’s comfortable on the skin and once you’ve applied it, you can forget it’s there!
Pros and Cons of the Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid
- Reduces blackheads
- Rebalances oil
- Brightens the skin

- Some users have reported problems with the pump leaking
Common FAQs on the Blackhead Power Liquid
