What is Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid

The Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid is made by Korean skincare brand Cosrx, known for its affordable yet effective products. Its primary function is to clear out pores, helping to reduce blackheads and breakouts over time, leaving the skin smoother and clearer.

That said, it does much more than just clean out pores.

It’s essentially a liquid exfoliator suitable for all skin types, and what really sets it apart from other exfoliators is how gentle it is on the skin. But more on that shortly.

How To Use Cosrx Blackhead Power Liquid Step By Step

After cleansing your face in the evening, using a cotton wool pad, gently apply the liquid to your face avoiding the lip and eye area. If you use the exfoliator during the day, make sure to follow up with quality sunscreen.

Wait until the liquid is dry to apply moisturizer. It only takes a couple of minutes to absorb into the skin.

When using this exfoliator, it’s best to build up usage gradually. This is particularly important if you’re new to BHAs or have sensitive skin, as your skin needs time to adjust to stronger ingredients. Once your skin has acclimatised, you can use the exfoliator two to three times a week.

My Honest Review Using the Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid

I’ve been using the Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid for several months now, and I love it. When I first bought it, I expected a fairly typical exfoliator, something a bit harsh, drying and uncomfortable on the skin.

The Blackhead Power Liquid is nothing like that. Instead of rough, it’s gentle. Instead of burning, it’s soothing. And instead of dryness, it leaves the skin soft and smooth.

The first few times I used it, I genuinely thought it was one of those skincare products that I wasted my money on, after all, we all have those sitting in our skincare collections! However, I decided to stick it out for a bit longer and see if all the hype is really true.

Blackhead Power Liquid Before and After

After about a week of using it, I started to notice real changes. To put my experience into context, it helps to know a little about my skin. I used to have combination skin, with a very oily T-zone and dry patches, but as I’ve moved into my 30s, my skin has become noticeably drier and I now rely on moisturiser more than ever.

That said, dryness was never my biggest concern. My main issues have always been open pores, blackheads and the occasional pimple. Over the years, I’ve tried countless remedies, from DIY blackhead treatments to pore-clearing masks, with very little success.

Nothing has worked quite like the Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid. Not only is it pleasant to use, but it effectively cleans out my pores, visibly reduces their appearance and has made a noticeable difference to my blackheads, all without drying out my skin. While they haven’t disappeared entirely, they’re far less visible and much fewer in number.

I’ve also noticed I rarely get pimples anymore, which I put down to the Power Liquid gently removing dead skin cells and creating a healthier environment for skin renewal. Overall, my skin looks more radiant, feels smoother and appears much healthier.

The Texture

One of my favorite features of the BHA Blackhead Power Liquid is its texture. It’s somewhat between a liquid and a serum. I love how it doesn’t have the smell that so often comes with strong products. Nor is it sticky. It’s comfortable on the skin and once you’ve applied it, you can forget it’s there!
