ColourPop Matte About Hue Eyeshadow Palette Is Here
Yep, ColourPop has done it again! Another week, another ColourPop palette. Truth be told, they have a colour story and palette for nearly every use and occasion.
I’ve got to give it to them, it’s impressive how they’ve managed to find something that they haven’t done yet! ColourPop Matte About Hue Eyeshadow Palette may not be the most original palette, but it has a new angle that ColourPop has never done before!
ColourPop Matte About Hue Eyeshadow Palette

ColourPop Matte About Hue is an eyeshadow palette with every colour under the rainbow! Featuring 29 matte shades and one shimmer, it’s the ideal palette for colorful eyeshadow looks.
From pinks and purples to blues and greens and everything in between. The choice is huge and the shades are gorgeous.
The only shade that is somewhat lacking from the palette is a true red. There are reddish shades, but as a rainbow palette, you would expect a real red.
Do you love ColourPop 30-pan palettes but are not obsessed with rainbow shades? Check out the pink-inspired Smoke N’ Roses Mega Shadow Palette or ColourPop Bare Necessities Shadow Palette.
It’s probably hard to tell from the image, but the shimmer is green in the second row. Why is there one shimmer, you may ask, and it is a little bit odd. Especially because the palette is called Matte About Hue. Yes, matte is in the name.
There are two possible reasons for the must-have shimmer in a matte palette. The first is that the green shade simply didn’t work in matte.
The second is that shimmer shades can often make blending easier and less patchy, which is a common difficulty in applying matte eyeshadows. But, that doesn’t really explain the one shimmer and why it’s green. We can only wonder!

This isn’t ColourPop’s first 30-pan rainbow palette, in fact, they have two others- Fade Into Hue Palette and Play It Jewel.
But, what makes the Matte About Hue unique is that it’s their first (nearly) all-matte rainbow eyeshadow palette. As I said, they managed to find a uniqueness to it:)
And truthfully, it is a really useful palette. With 30 shades to choose from, there’s a look and shade for every person. I also love that it’s almost all matte shades.
Most palettes mix shimmers, metallics and mattes so to have a full 30-pan palette of mostly only mattes is a treat!
My Thoughts
If colorful eyeshadow and matte makeup are your things, you’ll love the ColourPop Matte About Hue Eyeshadow Palette.
With a huge range of colors, and lovely pigmentation, it’s a palette you can’t go wrong with! Oh, and did I mention it’s only $34 for a huge 30-pan palette?!
You’ve gotta love ColourPop, they’re a great way for beginners to start a makeup collection and to keep it growing too!
