Colourpop Smoke N’ Roses Mega Shadow Palette Is Here

ColourPop has just released another 30-pan eyeshadow palette! For all those who love their big palettes, you’re gonna love the Smoke N’ Roses palette!

Similar to the Bare Necessities palette, only with pinkier and rosier tones throughout. It’s just as the name suggests, the palette gives off a rose vibe featuring the many different shades you would find in a pink rose.

As many of you know, I’m a big fan of ColourPop palettes. They are affordable and the quality is never compromised!

They have achieved the perfect balance in quality vs affordability, something that not many brands have managed. The Smoke N’ Roses palette is exactly that!

The lovely aspect of big palettes is that you get so much variation of the same colour, from different tones to different finishes.

Some might call it superfluous and a waste of space, but for others, this is exactly what they dream of! After all, with more shades, there’s space for more options and creativity!

At first glance of the Smoke N’ Roses palette, my thoughts were, is it nearly Spring?! It certainly doesn’t feel like a festive or winter palette. In fact, the shades are more appropriate for Spring.

However, I gotta be honest, a pretty palette stays pretty no matter what time of year it is! And one thing we can all agree on is that this palette is smokin’ hot!

I love the small ColourPop palettes, but the big ones set my heart racing! Especially when the colours are so beautiful! With 30 shades of pinky and smokey tones, the looks you can create are endless. From day looks to night looks, simple or smokey, the sky’s the limit.

The shades are:

Is the Smoke N’ Roses an Original or Dupe?

Is the Smoke N’ Roses palette the most original palette out there? Probably not. A lot of the shades overlap with other ColourPop eyeshadow palettes. But, it is beautiful and it gives you all the pink and rosy shades that you can dream of in one mega palette.

The palette reminds me somewhat of the Natasha Denona Retro Palette, which features 15 pink and purple shades.

Obviously, it is also a lot more expensive than the ColourPop Smoke N’ Roses palette, and it has more of a purple vibe whereas, Smoke N’ Roses has a more rose pink vibe.

ColourPop Smoke N’ Roses is also quite similar to the Morphe 35X Big Primin’ Artistry Palette, but the ColourPop palette has a pinkier feel whereas the Morphe one has more gold to it.

Truthfully, no palette is completely original, because colours are finite, which means that palettes naturally overlap.

Nonetheless, in the big picture of eyeshadow palettes, the Smoke N’ Roses palette is a keeper! It’s gorgeous, functional, versatile and of good quality.

My Thoughts

The 9-pan classic palettes are useful and can slip into your bag. Still, there’s something about the big 30-pan palettes that the smaller ones don’t have.

They’re impressive to look at and even more, fun to play with! ColourPop Smoke N’ Roses is no exception and IMO, worth every penny!
