ColourPop Going Coconuts Collection Review
ColourPop has been flooding us weekly with new releases, good for our makeup souls but bad for our wallets! In November, they released a full collection named “Going Coconuts”.
The collection is amazing, especially for those neutral lovers! (Yup, yup, that’s me!) The collection includes Going Coconuts Bronzed Eyeshadow Palette, Call Me On My Shellphone Super Shock Shadow Trio, Just a Tint Lip Duos, Lip Balm, Lip Scrubs and Bronzers!
A whole makeup collection dedicated to nudes! It doesn’t get much better than that!
Who doesn’t love an everyday go-to collection? This collection particularly has the best colour palette with pleasing pastel shades and an almost monochromatic colour palette. Going Coconuts is beautiful!
This collection is available in bundles as well as in individuals. Without further ado, let’s tackle the Going Coconuts Collection!

Going Coconuts Bronzed Eyeshadow Palette
The Going Coconuts Bronzed Eyeshadow Palette is a 9-pan eyeshadow palette with neutral brown and nude shades that are both matte and metallic. It is in a beige-pink compact that is simple and elegant. I find the packaging cute and fitting to the eyeshadows themselves!
Unlike many of their other powder eyeshadow palettes, this doesn’t have the pressed glitters that so many have a love/hate relationship with which makes the palette all the classier! Another thing that I like about this palette is that it is travel-friendly and includes a full-sized mirror! Bonus.
With the Going Coconuts Bronzed Eyeshadow Palette, you can easily create neutral looks that are perfect for every day, as well as more romantic and party looks. This palette is also ideal for a sultry smokey look. Honestly, there are loads of looks that you can create with this awesome palette!
Like all ColourPop eyeshadow palettes, the formulas are blendable and highly pigmented. There is also very little fallout when using shadows. All of the colours are highly and intensely pigmented, but it’s the metallics that are simply wow.
It may not seem obvious from my swatches but put it this way, the metallics were so intense that after swiping them on my arm, my fingers still had the full amount of shadows on them!
Call Me On My Shellphone Super Shock Shadows
Call Me On My Shellphone Super Shock Shadows have truly changed the game for high shine metallic shadows. Aside from these shadows being beautiful, they are also soft and buttery to touch and delightful to wear!
Super Shock Shadows have the most amazing payoff with very little fallout! Each swipe of the shadows is so highly pigmented that these eyeshadows will last you just about forever!
There are three shades:
- Peekaboo – this is a metallic off-white with silver glitter. Perfect to use on the centre of the lids as well as highlight on the cheeks.
- A Little Quarky – this is a subtle gold metallic with blue & silver glitter which is an excellent topper on the lids.
- Deep Dive – this is a bronzy metallic that is great to deepen your look.
Shell We Dance Tint & Coconut Kiss Duo
Since the matte lipstick trend is slowly fading and everyone is slowly gravitating to more comfortable finishes and formulas, the Shell We Dance and Coconut Kiss Tint Duo is the ideal set!
Both of these sets come with 2 nude coloured lipsticks that are super flattering.
The lipsticks have a glossy finish that is extremely comfortable on the lips. It will give you the perfect wash of colour and healthy-looking, glowy lips throughout the day.
ColourPop has said that it is “formulated with passion fruit oil, coconut oil, marula oil, and shea butter to provide hydration.”
I love the lipsticks, aside from the comfort factor, they actually taste and smell of coconut! Not a very strong taste, but a subtle, slight one.
They are extremely comfortable to wear, they feel like an in-between of lip balm and lipstick, yet have the look of lipstick. The ideal combo if you ask me!
Island Time – a nude lip colour that you can match with an intense darker eyeshadow look
Nude Beach – deeper reddish-brown that will look great on deeper skin tones and is perfect for a pop of colour on the daily.
Shaka – a mauve cool-tone nude kind of colour that is great for regular everyday looks
Waikiki – a rosy-toned colour that is a little close shade to Shaka and can also be great for your daily makeup look!
Lip Balm & Lip Scrub
Also released in the Going Coconuts Collection are the Coco Loco lippie balm and lippie scrub. The packaging of both the lip balm and scrub is super clean looking and definitely have that coconut vibe.
Sadly they don’t have the coconut smell. The Coco Loco doesn’t come individually, if you want to purchase it you need to buy the Going Coconuts Collection Set.
Coco Loco – Lippie Bundle
The lippie scrub is moisturizing and oily in a way that is nourishing to the lips. The texture of this lip scrub is just right and has enough grittiness that it won’t irritate or be ineffective.
It will leave your lips feeling hydrated and plump! This scrub is infused with raw sugar, shea butter, cupuacu butter, sweet almond oil and jojoba oil.
The lip balm also has nourishing ingredients such as shea butter, coconut and macadamia oil. It also includes vitamin e which relieves chapped and dry lips. The lip balm comes in a squeezy tube that will be easy for you to apply wherever you are!
Bronzer
Last up in the Going Coconuts Collection are the two shades of bronzers namely Talk To The Palm Bronzer and Coconut Beach Bronzer. Like the rest of the collection, these also have great pigmentation and the bronzers glide onto the cheeks seamlessly and are blotch-free.
Similar to the eyeshadow palette, this is in beige pink packaging along with a full-size mirror.
- Talk to The Palm Bronzer – a reddish-brown cool-tone bronzer that is perfect for darker skin tones
- Coconut Beach – a lighter and warmer bronzer that will be great for those who have lighter skin tones.
My Thoughts
Going Coconuts is by far my favourite ColourPop collection so far although Bare Necessities looks pretty fab too! The whole collection is so well-thought-out and its packaging has a uniform look that makes this collection so gratifying.
This is a collection that I will definitely be using and it’s ideal for all the seasons. I love an all-year-round palette!
Not only is the packaging beautiful, but the quality of the whole set is pretty impressive too. ColourPop does not disappoint with the quality of its products and the ColourPop Going Coconuts Collection is no different!

I think am getting tired of color pops these days, the way they trend on social media with their latest stuffs really freak me out.
Not that their is that bad but I do really want something new and I think a lot of people do too.
I like the going coconut color pop it makes me look fantastic.
I hear your point of view, but you have to admit, they have pretty awesome products!
Hi, I am also huge fan of cosmetics&beauty; topics 🙂 After reading your post I will surely follow this brand on Instagram, since I wasn’t familiar with it previously. I was wondering – if this coconut collection actually use coconut in their products (or just a fragrance)? I love using coconut based products – since coconut has multiple benefits for skin, hair and lips. It can be used raw, as well. Like your review very much, thank you for sharing!
Hi,
I’m not sure if the eyeshadows are made from coconut but the lipsticks are.
