Too Faced is back with new products and it’s a subsequent release of two lip products and a primer. First, the Too Faced Lip Injection Maximum Plump Extra Strength Lip Plumper along with the Too Faced Plump & Prime Face Plumping Primer Serum. And second, their new Lip Glosses which won’t be coming out till the first week of August.
Here we’re reviewing the new Too Faced Lip Injection Maximum Plump Extra Strength Lip Plumper! It’s unique, fun and a fab lip product! It’s already out in the US but only at ULTA. We’re still waiting for it to be released in the UK!
The new Too Faced lip product is based on the Too Faced Lip Injection Lip Gloss, however, it has one distinct difference. It’s not a lip gloss. It has the effects of giving a filler-like look to your lips.
It’s described as a lip plumping formula, and it extremely effective at that! You’ll see & feel results instantly with the Lip Injection Maximum Plump Extra Strength Lip Plumper as the advanced volumising formula dramatically hydrates, nourishes and visibly plumps lips intensely, immediately and over time. Over a few weeks, you will notice a dramatic difference in the plumpness of your lips.
Claims & Benefits
I’ve never really tried a lip “plumper” before. Although, the way to apply it seems pretty straightforward and similar to how you would apply a lip gloss.
For an instant sexy pout, apply the Lip Injection Maximum Plump to the centre of your top and bottom lip. Blend outward to the corners of the lips using the doe-foot applicator or a lip brush. Too Faced suggests popping a long-wearing colour by applying the Lip Injection Maximum Plump all over lips and wait 5 minutes.
Let the sensation pass. Kiss a clean tissue to lightly blot and remove, followed by a few dots of your chosen pigmented lip product!
It claims to be a powerfully effective advanced formula and it’ll satisfy true plumping addicts!
- Immediate tingly sensation showcases the instant max plumping technology
- Ingredients provide intense hydration and nourishment
- Leaves lips feeling plumped & re-volumized
- Showcases immediate plumping, and continues to enhance plumped lips over time
Ingredients include Avocado Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil and Soybean Oil for a moisturising and soothing effect once the tingling does its magic. I do have to note that majority and the main ingredient is mineral oils and has fragrance in the mix. Something to look out for if you have sensitive skin especially, sensitive lips.
The packaging is flashy and beautiful. A classic Too Faced aesthetic. It comes in a clear glass tube with a twist metal cap attached to the thin doe foot applicator. It is a typical millennial theme. With rose golds and baby pinks to show for design. The metal cap is printed with wonderful lace detailing. Not so bad-looking, really. It’s not my favourite though, but that’s just my minimalist side being picky.
As of now, it is only offered in one shade. A pearly-pink iridescent colour. It costs $29 or £24 a piece for 4 mL worth of product. It’s a hefty price but the effects make up for it.
Apparently, there really is a product to fake the look of lip injections without faking the volume! Trying this on will take you on a roller coaster if it’s your first time using lip plumping products.
It’s a very sensational product to apply and wear. It feels far from wearing a lip gloss or even a lip oil. It’s like a hot gel on a bare exfoliated lip. The product will feel stingy and a bit uncomfortable, at first. But it’s part and parcel of getting your desired results. And between a non-invasive stinging sensation to full-on anaesthesia and needles, you might want to choose the former.
What I’m most interested about this product is how it’s not something else. You’ve probably seen lipsticks, lip balms, lip oils and glosses paraded as lip plumpers but all they really do is help you set up an illusion. While this lip plumper will make your lips look big by way of shock therapy through its prickly formula!
It seems Too Faced have really learned something about their best-selling Lip Injection Extreme Hydrating Plumping Lip Gloss. They’ve separated the plumping aspect and the lip gloss product into two different products! Which I think is a clever move. Sometimes 2 in 1 products simply don’t work!
It’s very exciting to see how a separate lip plump will focus on really making your lips look fuller. It uses Atelocollagen, Marine Filling Spheres, and the aforementioned oils for moisture and nourishment. This is the same blend of formula that’s found in their best-selling lip plumping gloss that pouts up your lip.
The upcoming product’s predecessor, the Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme Lip Plumper, is a lip gloss highly effective in realistically plumping up your lips with similar shock therapy. And at the same time giving the illusion of an even fuller lip on top off that as a lip gloss.
If you’re one of the thousands who’s enjoyed the Lip Injection Extreme Lip Plumper and its benefits, then I can only imagine how much better the lip filler/injection effect will be with this one. Creating a new specialised lip plumping product is a smart move for Too Faced.
I thought it was coming out yesterday, but apparently not. The Too Faced website says it’s coming soon…so we wait!
I hope you’re as excited as I am with the new Too Faced Lip Injection Maximum Plump Extra Strength Lip Plumper. It saves you the pain and expense of the other kind of lip fillers;)
