Get Ethereal Makeup with the New ColourPop Aurora Struck Collection
ColourPop has just released a new collection, which isn’t anything new for them! But, what is new is the color story of this collection.
The Aurora Struck Collection features a new look for ColourPop and we love it! Inspired by the Northern Lights, the collection is filled with ethereal hues of purples, greens and blues!
ColourPop Aurora Struck Collection
While there are ColourPop releases far too often to keep track of, it’s not often that they come out with a mega-sized palette. However, this time ColourPop has spoilt us with a full-sized 30-pan palette and it happens to be gorgeous too!
The Aurora Struck Collection also comes with 3 LUX Lip Oils, 3 Lite Stix, a SOL Mini Shimmering Dry Oil and a So Dewy Face + Eye Gloss.
It’s a fun collection, but what’s really striking here are the colors and shades. They’re original and something new!
Aurora Struck Mega Palette
The star of the collection is undoubtedly the fabulous Aurora Struck Mega Palette. Featuring 30 new shades of original colors, it’s a palette that’s hard not to love.
Before we even get to the inside of the palette, we need to give the packaging some attention! As someone who has always been obsessed with the Northern Lights, even though I’ve never seen them, this packaging seriously talks to me.
Featuring purples, blues and greens with the name in embossed silver, it’s everything you can dream of for a starry night!
Onto the actual palette. With 30 ethereal cool-toned hues to choose from, there’s no shortage of choice. The first 2 lines of the palette feature pretty pastels of greys, silvers, purples, greens, and a neutral shade.
The other 3 lines change dramatically to deep and dark shades, much like you would imagine the Northern Lights to look. The shade combination is original and we love the deep green and teal hues.
The palette features mattes, shimmers as well as ColourPop’s new pearlescent glitter technology and duo chrome shades. The number of looks you can create with this palette is endless and you can be really creative with the color combinations.
Although I generally stick to ‘boring’ neutral shades, I can definitely see this palette as a staple for the more creative ones!
LUX Lip Oils
The LUX Lip Oils are a lovely addition to a winter makeup routine. They have a sheer formula with just the right amount of tint, giving you an effortless no-makeup-makeup look!
But that’s not all, they’re also formulated with nourishing ingredients to moisturize your lips throughout the day. These lip oils are loved by so many because they aren’t sticky like so many lip oils are!
ColourPop Aurora Struck Collection has 3 new shimmery shades in clear, light blue and baby pink. The lip oil packaging makes it look like these oils are more pigmented than they are, but in fact, they’re very subtle.
The Lite Stix are the perfect creamy stick highlighters for a stunning shimmery finish. In time for the party season, these Lite Stix will up your highlighter game! Easy to apply, they glide on the skin and blend seamlessly.
So Dewy Face & Eye Gloss
If you love lip gloss on the lips, why not give it a try on your face and eyes?! Yep, that’s exactly what the new So Dewy Face + Eye Gloss is.
The lightweight formula gives you the ultimate shine without any of the stickiness and discomfort that all too often accompanies glosses. It has a duo-chrome finish to give you dazzling and shimmering eyes!
Mini Shimmering Dry Oil
Get glowing skin with this shimmering dry oil. Perfect for the holiday season when you can never have too much shimmer and sparkle in your life!
The body oils are infused with moisturizing ingredients, giving your skin the best of both, a stunning shimmer and healthy, soft skin!
Overall, the Aurora Struck Collection is a winner! While the whole collection is gorgeous as well as useful, it’s the eyeshadow palette that stole my heart.
With beautiful and original shades, it’s a palette that’s hard not to love, even if teals and purples are not your go-to shades!
