Jimmy Choo Illicit Eau de Parfum Review

Usually, before buying a perfume I like to spend a while researching different scents. This is the first time I bought perfume without doing any of that and I loved it! Well, I did hang out in Duty-Free for a good half an hour, but that’s not very long when it comes to deciding on a fragrance! Perhaps for some people, but not for me!

The perfume I had been using had just finished, so I was a bit desperate. I smelt about 50 different perfumes with no luck. Then I smelt Jimmy Choo Illicit Eau de Parfum. I was sold!

My Honest Review of the Jimmy Choo Illicit Eau de Parfum

What stuck out to me about the Jimmy Choo Illicit perfume is that the smell isn’t too strong and overpowering and that it’s not flowery either. These are two things that I always look out for in perfume.

I don’t like very strong smells- they tend to give me headaches and when I enter a room I don’t need all heads turning because of my strong smell! I also don’t like very flowery scents. It’s just a personal preference.

So what do I love about this perfume? Well, pretty much everything about it.

What does Jimmy Choo Illicit Perfume smell like?

It’s an entirely unique fragrance and was developed by perfumer Anne Flipo.  Illicit’s notes include a blend of ginger, rose, honey-amber and sandalwood.

According to Sandra Choi, Jimmy Choo’s creative director, “Illicit embodies the daring spirit of the Jimmy Choo woman. She is alluring, hypnotic and lives her life to the full.” Let the perfume inspire you to be bold and brave!

Illicit Eau de Parfum Packaging

Although the packaging doesn’t make a difference to the actual perfume, it’s still something that sways me! Jimmy Choo Illicit is luxurious and gorgeous!

The perfume comes in a clear glass cylinder with vertical ridges, inspired by Art Deco. The bottle comes in a rose-pink box. Both together, exude luxury which every woman deserves!

My Thoughts on the Illicit Eau de Parfum

Jimmy Choo Illicit Eau de Parfum is one of the best-smelling perfumes I have ever owned. It has a warm, romantic scent, that’s sexy and fun at the same time. It is perfect for an everyday scent yet at the same time also perfect for occasion wear. I wish I could share the scent with you over the screen:)

It’s also long-lasting with the scent lasting all day without it being overpowering. I’ve rebought the perfume a couple of times now and I think that’s the proof of really loving a product!

The only disadvantage to the Illicit Eau de Parfum is that it’s pricey, but to be honest, the bottle lasts me a really long time so it’s worth every penny for me!
