Michael Todd Beauty – Wild Berry Skin Peel

posted in: Skin Care | 14

Wild Berry Skin Peel is an exfoliating mask which is well worth getting to know. Michael Todd Beauty has taken skin care masks to a whole new level! Its 100% organic and formulated with a ton of healthy ingredient which will make your skin feel and look amazing:) I think Michael Todd Beauty doesn’t get enough hype and after reading this review I’m sure you’ll agree with me.

Michael Todd Beauty

Michael Todd Beauty is all about natural ingredients. Their motto is that products don’t need unnatural ingredients for them to be effective. The results can still be extraordinary the natural way! I am all for this- if your products can be as effective with natural products as they are with chemicals then why take the risk. What I find rather unique about Michael Todd products is that when using them you wouldn’t believe there are no chemicals!

What is the Wild Berry Skin Peel?

The Wild Berry Skin Peel is an exfoliating mask that helps to remove dead skin, tightens the pores and evens out the tone. It is formulated with Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid and Fruit Enzymes in a soothing base of 100% Organic Aloe Vera Leaf Juice. What all that means is that there is a lot of healthy ingredients to help your skin look and feel its best.

The exfoliating mask comes in a cute pink/purple tube with a purple lid. It comes with 100ml which will last for a while since you only need a small amount each time.

Using the Mask

I don’t think I’ve ever used an exfoliating mask before and I found the experience pretty amazing. However, first, can we talk about its smell! It has the most amazing smell of berries! This makes the whole experience so much more pleasant, as opposed to many face products which have a slight chemical smell.

The directions for use is to apply a thin layer of the exfoliating mask all over your face. Be careful around your eyes and mouth since this is a strong mask. After applying wait 10-15 minutes and then rinse off. Before I applied the mask I didn’t realise that it would be so strong. Around my nose, I sometimes get dry skin and the mask was actually stinging me there quite badly so I had to remove it from around my nose. Apart from that the rest of my face felt slightly tingly for the first 2 minutes and then it subsided. Here comes the exciting part. After I rinsed the mask off my skin felt incredible. Like seriously incredible. It felt really soft and clean. I felt like I had just walked out of the beautician. I’ve used many facial masks before and my skin has never felt this good before. My skin was a little red for about 10 minutes after I removed it but this happens with many effective products.

Who is it for?

The Wild Berry Skin Peel is recommended for all skin types. However, since its a rather strong mask make sure to test it out on a patch of your skin before using on your whole face. I was rather reckless and I forgot to do that. Luckily, my skin doesn’t usually react to products and it didn’t this time either. However, don’t be like me;) Remember the safety of your skin always comes first!

Use this up to once a week. After using this exfoliating mask be careful around the sun for about a week. The product contains alpha hydroxy acid which can increase the risk of sunburn, so it’s a good idea to wear sun cream or a product that contains SPF.

My Thoughts

I think this is one of the best facial masks on the market, and what’s more is that with natural ingredients you’re not harming your skin in any way. After using it my skin felt absolutely amazing and so soft. I love the product and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an organic yet effective mask. I think Michael Todd Beauty needs some more hype- their products are truly great:)

This is a great Michael Todd product review. I’m sold. The fact that the ingredients are all natural is important to me.This skin peel has alpha hydroxy which is the best for exfoliating dead skin cells.
The only problem I see is the stinging you experienced. Does Michael Todd have an all natural skin peel for sensitive skin?

    • Hollie

They don’t have any other skin peels but they do have lots of other facial masks. I think the trick to avoid stinging it not to apply the mask to very sensitive areas.

      Thanks for stopping by:)

Thank you for sharing with us this fantastic review on Michael Todd Beauty product.I have used a facial mask when a friend of mine recommended me to use because my face was covered by the spots but the result was disastrous.

I m happy that I found this post on Todd skin peel and the most important reason why I am attracted by it ,is that it is all made by natural ingredients and the smell  is good as berry and I like berries.

I will try it and I believe that the result will be positive.

This sounds like a really great product.  I have really sensitive skin and I am allergic to just about everything that is why I like the fact that this product is all natural.  What scares me though is fact about the stingy and redness after using.  Would you reccommend a different scrub or mask?

    Thanks for your help.

    • Hollie

Before using a mask do a test on a small patch of skin to see if you’re sensitive to it. If you’re still nervous to use it there are tons of good facial masks that are more gentle. The one I’m loving now is the Elemis Peptide4 Thousand Flower Mask. Its really gentle and feels amazing.

Hi Hollie.  I really like your website.  I saw on your about me page that you are married and have three children.   So that tells me that using this exfoliating mask/peel  didn’t require too much time.    It seems like I simply do not have enough time and find myself neglecting my skin.

Your review sold me on it since I try to stick with organic products whenever possible.   The good smell also is a bonus.    Do you know if I can get in the United States?

    • Hollie

That reminds me that I need to update my about me page. I now have 4 kids, my baby is 6 months old and she takes up most of my time! I try to find 10 minutes once a week to use a mask. We have to look after ourselves too!

Yes you can get it in the US, link updated. They have a special offer on at the moment at just $14.28!

Thank you for this article Hollie.

I’ve tried many masks over the years, but they always left my skin so dry.

It looks like Michael Todd Beauty – Wild Berry Skin Peel might be different since it’s an all natural product. I like that! So, it will be my next purchase. I can’t wait to feel what you’ve described after using this product.

    Thanks again,

I had heard about Michael Todd beauty products and how they are taking over organic beauty product market like a storm. When aloe vera, wild berries, lactic acid etc are the main ingredients, I am sure it must be an excellent product. The stinging sensation might be an indication that the mask is actually working on your skin 😃

    • Hollie

What you say is true, often when it stings its an indication that the product works. However, a product can also work without stinging! Also it may not sting on everyone, if I remember correctly it stung on some broken skin.

  7. Maria

I usually use exfoliating products as my face skin is oily with black points. Not all are good, some are very aggressive, the one you review seems to be good, with natural ingredients. As you said, I haven’t heard about Michael Todd Beauty products. Thank you for this review 🙂
