MAC x Disney Cruella Collection Is Here And It Is Wicked!
Celebrating the release of the newest Cruella movie, MAC has collaborated with Disney to create a fabulously evil collection! We all know Cruella is cruel, just like her name, what we don’t know is how she got there.
The new movie follows the young Cruella de Vil on her way to becoming who she is. I actually just watched 101 Dalmations with my kids, so this movie is a little bit more exciting!
I won’t go into more detail about this movie because this isn’t a movie review! We’re here for the makeup!
MAC x Disney Cruella Collection
The wickedly wicked MAC Disney Cruella Collection consists of:
- 8 Pan Cruella To Be Kind Eyeshadow Palette
- Powder Blush Duo
- 3 matte Lipsticks
- 3 Retro Matte Liquid Lip colours
- Pro Longwear Dual Ended Eyeliner
- Supermodel False Lashes
- Blending brush
- Powder blush
It’s a pretty nice-sized collection, with a whole lot of potential. I love the idea of bringing out a Cruella makeup collection, however…are you ready for the however part?
When I first heard about this collection I expected deep dark colours, with majestic hues and devilish shades. I know I haven’t actually reviewed the individual products yet, but at first glance, the collection appears a little underwhelming.
I mean, we’re talking about Cruella de Vil here, one of the evilest women in Disney growing up. The potential was huge and the products could’ve been dramatic and really out there!
Cruella To Be Kind Eyeshadow Palette

The idea behind this palette is original and fun. Cruella To Be Kind Eyeshadow Palette is made up of 4 segments that snap apart.
You can use it as a whole palette, or pick the segment you want. Ideal for on the go when you don’t want to carry a big palette around with you, each segment is nice and compact!
The Cruella To Be Kind Eyeshadow Palette is an inspiration for Cruella’s statement shades giving you the opportunity to copy her looks to a T. It comes in 8 shades:
- Gesso: Vivid White (Matte)
- De Villionaire: Silver (Frost)
- Need For Tweed: Grey lilac (Satin)
- Crue Love: Vivid bluered (Frost)
- Carbon: Intense rich black (Matte)
- Chilliin’ Like a Villian: Bright blue (Matte)
- Cruella To Be Kind: Warm pink neutral (Matte)
- Sinister Shimmer: Black with gold sparkle (Frost)
Out of all the products in the collection, this eyeshadow palette has got to be the biggest disappointment. Where I was expecting deep and vibrant, in its place are shades that are all a bit meh.
Can you create devilish Cruella looks with it? Yes, but the palette could have been a whole lot more exciting. On the plus side, I give it 10 out of 10 for packaging!
Powder Blush Duo

The Powder Blush Duo is more of a success in my humble opinion! I love the idea of incorporating 2 shades into one blush, perfect for those who like mixing up their makeup looks.
It comes with a bright pink called Tickled Punk and a neutral shade called Cruel-La Intentions. Enriched in vitamin E, it has loads of health benefits for your skin, like antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties- a nice touch!
Matte Lipsticks

MAC is known for its fabulous matte lipsticks. They are a bestseller and that’s not without reason. Comfortable to wear, long-wearing, easy to apply, intense pigmentation…yep, the list goes on. These bestselling lipsticks are now available in 3 extra shades, all in honour of Cruella.
The shades are Camden Caper- a deep maroon shade, De Vil In The Details- a bright red shade and Sweet-N-Vicious- a light pink shade. I love the names and the shades too!
Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour

Some prefer regular lipstick, and others are all about liquid lipstick. MAC has thought of everyone and has included something for everyone.
They are long-wearing and have a gorgeous velvety matte finish and an intense rich pigmentation that will give your lips a serious pop of colour.
The shades are similar to the matte lipstick shades, just with different names! The shades are Queen Of Mean- a brownie pinkie neutral, Mayhemmed- a bright red and Glamarchy- a deep blood red. Sinister in names and in shades!
Pro Longwear Dual Ended Eyeliner

The Dual Ended Eyeliner truly sums up Cruella. It’s black on one end and white on the other with red writing on it. Both colours are dense and creamy and glide on smoothly. Get creative with white eyeliner, or stick to intense black for a real dramatic effect.
In true MAC style, both shades are long-wearing for up to 8 hours, smudge-proof, transfer-proof and water-resistant. You can apply the liner to your lids or waterline and it won’t budge!
Supermodel False Lashes

High-quality lashes for a full-volume, wispy runaway look. I love these because if you are careful with them, you can wear them multiple times making them very cost-effective!
Just don’t forget to clean them in between uses. Like the rest of the collection, they come in two-toned Cruella-inspired packaging.
Brushes
You can never have too many brushes. The more, the merrier, they are perfect for the day when you ‘by mistake’ forget to wash your dirty brushes. It’s always handy to have a spare one in your makeup drawer.
The Cruella Collection comes with 2 useful brushes- a powder brush ideal for blush application and a blending brush. Both brushes are super soft and are made from top-quality synthetic fibres.
MAC is known for its awesome brushes that have an extremely long life, obviously with the right care!
My Thoughts
Overall, the MAC Disney Cruella Collection is a cute and useful collection, but I still think it could have had a bit more of a WOW factor, especially the eyeshadow palette. However, it does make me excited to see the new Cruella movie, the trailer looks fab! Is anyone else counting down the days?
MAC x Disney Cruella Collection is a limited edition collection so grab the products while you still can!
