MAC Cosmetics Black Cherry Spring Collection
Anything with Cherry Blooms has got my attention! When the blossoms come out and the Cherry Blooms are in full swing, my mood lifts no matter what! Those beautiful flowers have that powerful effect on me, and when you combine makeup with Cherry Blooms, well, I’m sold!
MAC’s new Cherry Bloom Collection is the perfect collection to get you in the mood for spring, from its beautiful packaging to the lovely products.
MAC Cosmetics Black Cherry Spring Collection
Included in the Cherry Bloom Collection are lipsticks, lip balms, blushes, eyeliner, a setting spray and a lip primer.
It’s a nice-sized collection, obviously, but it’s missing some fun spring-inspired eyeshadow. It would have been a really nice addition but, the collection is still impressive and it’s a limited edition so once it’s gone, it’s gone! My advice, grab it while you can!
My favourite part about the collection is hands down the packaging. Cherry Blossoms originated in Japan, so the collection does have a slight Japanese floral feel to it.
All the products are encased in beautiful cherry blossom packaging with a black or pink base. Aside from being pretty, it looks super elegant too!
Black Cherry Matte Lipsticks

The Black Cherry Matte Lipsticks come in 3 shades. Naturally, the shades are cherry blossom-inspired, featuring pinks and red, with cherry blossom-inspired names too. The lipsticks apply smoothly and dry to a creamy matte finish.
They are also highly pigmented with an extremely impressive colour payoff and will last you all day without smudging or feathering. MAC claim the lipsticks will last up to 10 hours, which is more than enough for me!
Black Cherry Glow Play Lip Balm

The Black Cherry Glow Play Lip Balm also comes in 3 shades. They are pinker-toned and more subtle in colour than lipsticks. These lip balms are the perfect balance between adding colour to your lips and caring for them at the same time.
Infused with sea butter, mango and jojoba seeds oils, they help to soothe and hydrate your lips giving them all the nourishment they need.
Use one of these lip balms for a few weeks and you will notice that your lips are more moisturised and softer. They have a cumulative effect on the lips.

Black Cherry Extra Dimension Blush

The Black Cherry Extra Dimension Blush also comes in 3 shades. They are light pink, coral apricot and plummy pink. I love how all the shades in the collection are so similar, but that’s to be expected, after all, they all resemble the colour of blossoms.
The blush is a hybrid blush with a second-skin finish, which means, it looks extremely natural and gives healthy-coloured cheeks, without it looking like you’ve applied blush!
It has a smooth application like that of a cream, the bendability of a liquid and the finish of a powder. It’s long-wearing and gives you stunning long-lasting, glowing skin.
Black Cherry Brushstroke 24 Hour Liner

I have always loved MAC Cosmetics eyeliners for the simple reason that they never let me down! From pencil eyeliners to liquid eyeliners, they all deliver.
They have some of the best long-lasting eyeliners around- their formula literally doesn’t budge. MAC eyeliners are the ones you need if you are looking for serious long-lasting eyeliner!
The Black Cherry Brushstroke 24 Hour Liner is an easy-to-use, precision tip liner. Using this eyeliner is a lot like using a felt tip, it’s probably the easiest type of eyeliner if you’re not steady with your hands.
You can create a thick or thin line with just one swipe of the eyeliner. It’s not waterproof but it is smudge-proof and will last the whole day without budging.
Cherry Blossom Fix+

A setting spray is always a must if you want your makeup to last intact the whole day, and what’s better than a setting spray that smells of cherry blossoms?
The Cherry Blossom Fix+ is an alcohol-free hydrating setting spray that will help your makeup to stay on longer and better, as well as help your skin stay hydrated throughout the day. The cherry blossom scent is simply the cherry on top!
Black Cherry Prep + Prime Lip

The advantage of using a lip primer is that you have a barrier between your lips and the lipstick you’re wearing. Why’s this important? Well, for more than one reason.
A lip primer helps your lipstick stay on better and it also helps keep your lips hydrated. Most lip primers, like this Black Cherry one, contain hydrating ingredients which keep your lips moisturised throughout the day.
Using a lip primer will give you a smoother application for your lipstick and when it’s packaged beautifully, it makes it even better!
My Thoughts
The MAC Cosmetics Black Cherry Collection is a gorgeous collection of useful and practical products. There’s nothing too original in the collection, well, aside from the packaging that is.
But if collecting beautiful makeup is your thing, then you’ll love the Black Cherry Collection! The packaging is absolutely beautiful and gives the vibe of warmer Spring days.
What are your thoughts on the collection? Is it a must-have for you or do you think it’s much of the same as MAC? Check out more MAC Spring Collections.
