Festive Makeup Looks That Will Inspire You This Christmas

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! You can feel the magic in the air. It’s all about the parties and presents, and most importantly, spending time with the fam.

There’s no better way to celebrate than with festive makeup, well, for a makeup junkie that is! I’ve put together some of the best festive makeup looks to inspire you this Christmas.

1. Glam the whole way

If you want the whole glamorous package with picture-perfect makeup, there’s no better place to look than at Mario Dedivanovic’s work for inspiration.

Personal makeup artist to Kim Kardashian, he’s a trendsetter and a massive perfectionist. I love the Makeup By Mario makeup and Mario’s makeup techniques. And this look is no exception. It’s festive and beautiful and really a perfect holiday look!

2. Rock a bold lip

You can’t go wrong with a classic burgundy bold lip. It’s festive, classy and oh-so-pretty! Keep the rest of your makeup understated to get the full effect. You don’t want dramatic eyes taking attention away from the lips.

It’s all about a flawless basic face, and then wow bold lips! This makeup look is simple, yet effective.

3. Feeling frosty makeup look

The festive makeup look screams a winter wonderland! With the snowflake and the blue and pink shades, it is frosty and fun!

The details are incredible, this look is perfect for partying the night away!

4. Dramatic Snowflake Eyes

This snowflake makeup look is beautiful. It’s got the perfect balance of mixing warm and cold to create the ultimate festive look. To complete the look match your eyes to your lips, and opt for a fun grey wig!

5. Glitter Lips

Another understated face, but oh my, can you check out those shimmering, glittering lips? Watch the video and I guarantee you’ll want to try it out for yourself.

These lips depict everything that this season is. Glittery and shimmery with beautiful red colour! To finish off the look, copy the stars around the eyes and be bedazzled.

6. Ice Queen Christmas Look

What’s a festive makeup look without including a Frozen makeover? I don’t know if this is supposed to be a Frozen makeover but it’s called Ice Queen. And, there’s no bigger Ice Queen right now than Ice Queen from Frozen!

Either way, it’s very Christmas-appropriate. This Ice Queen look is striking and stunning. All the colours tone in really well to create a masterpiece! I love how the eyes have a shimmery look and the lips are all matte. It’s just the right balance.

7. Sunset eyes

Sunset is the most beautiful time of the day. With all the colours blending together, it is totally mesmerising.

What better way to celebrate the holidays than wearing beautiful sunset colours on your eyes, no one will be able to take their eye off them. If you want heads turning, this look is for you!

8. Blue-Grey Sparkle Eyeshadow

The unique blue-grey shades in this eyeshadow look are stunning! There is a lot of depth with iridescent shimmer going on. The gems complete the look superbly and they match the highlighter to a T. This eyeshadow look is totally luxe and fitting for the party season!

9. Blue Gem Eye Look

Since we’re on the topic of blue gems, I couldn’t resist including this one. It’s a slightly different take on gems. In fact, there is no eyeshadow used at all here, the gems take the whole show.

This look is more fun and party-spirited! The key to this festive makeup look is to keep the rest of your face as natural as possible to give the gems as much space to shine as possible!

10. Frozen-themed eyes

Another Frozen makeover. I think it’s safe to say that Frozen is going to be a popular makeup theme this Christmas! The movie and the palettes are loved by all, not to mention how festive it all is.

This makeup look is another winner, from the colours to how she used the diamond glow powder. It’s all falling in the same direction which is so effective!

11. Flawless makeup look

For many of us doing a whole festive and glittery look isn’t our thingamajig. Some of us want simple flawless neutral makeup for our Christmas and New Year’s party and that’s fine.

We’ve got you covered. This is one of those looks that you can’t go wrong with. It’s gorgeous all year round.

12. Candy cane makeup look

What can be more Christmasy than classic red and white candy-cane-inspired makeup? Top it up a notch with matching lipstick and earrings!

13. Eyes in the clouds

This makeup look is called Head in the Clouds but I think it fits eyes in the clouds more. What’s your take on it? Either way, it’s a beautiful look with gorgeous pinks and purples. The cloud detail is gorgeous!

14. Frozen makeup look III

Frozen is clearly a rather dominant theme in this year’s Christmas makeup! However, each of the Frozen looks is very different from one another. It shows how much creativity there is in Frozen!

This is a very bold and bright smokey look and it has all the glitter and shimmer that you would expect for the holiday season.

My Thought

Which of these Festive Makeup Looks tempt you the most? I’m always more of a neutral flawless kinda gal. However, for our family Christmas party, I do like to go all out.

Choosing one look is a hard decision because all the makeup looks are stunning. However, if I had to choose one it would probably be the Snowflake Eyes, although, I am obsessed with the glittery lips too. I told you, it’s a hard one!

Happy Holidays,

I have seen a couple of my friends wear make up that is very similar to the one you have shown here in that frosty look. That one is a very big inspiration for the Christmas but I think that the Christmas look will be the best. I want to know if the Instagram handles have a video tutorial on how to make it look just as good.
