Feel Moroccan Magic with MAC’s New Mosaic Masterpiece Collection
MAC Cosmetics fans, let me introduce you to the new MAC Masterpiece Collection Review! Mark my word, this limited edition collection will have you swooning over it! It’s got me hooked! If you love Moroccan and middle-eastern vibes then you will love this!
Their summer collection channels the neutral colours against vibrant ones typically seen in Moroccan art. It has all the artistic details that you would expect from the Middle East. From looking at the packaging alone, I can smell memories of the spices and heat!
So if you’re up for some new aesthetic for your makeup collection, check out MAC’s Mosaic Masterpiece Collection.
MAC Mosaic Masterpiece Collection
The Mosaic Masterpiece design reminds me a lot of a recent launch by Clarins. Geometric, mosaic decals and all, just with a red dominant theme, rather than the blue we see in MAC’s collection. I missed out on that and now I’m getting a second chance with the Mosaic Masterpiece collection!
The collection comes with an eye palette, eyeliner and mascara, a highlighter, and of course, MAC can’t release a new collection without their fabulous lipsticks! It even comes with a blush brush to get you going.
The Mosaic Masterpiece Collection is almost a full-face collection, the only thing missing is a bronzer. Nevertheless, a FAB collection!
Mosaic Masterpiece Eyeshadow Palette ($29 / £26.00)

This eyeshadow palette consists of 9 very wearable shades of copper and nude-toned hues. It comes with a mixture of finishes. There are frosted shades, mattes, satins, and lustres that are close to velvet textures.
The shades are exclusive to this palette. The palette has new shades, a beautiful design, and still the wonderful shadow formula we all love from MAC.
Shades:
- Ricepaper – Peachy gold with shimmer (Frost)
- Dali Wood – Burnt brick orange (Matte)
- Care 4 You – Black with silver sparkle (Lustre)
- Creative Copper – Metallic gold (Lustre)
- That Somebody – Gold brown with shimmer (Satin)
- Espresso – Muted golden brown (Matte)
- Outre – Mustardy-brown (Matte)
- Gingersnap – Muted pinky coral (Frost)
- Dance in the Dark – Dark brown (Matte)
Mosaic Masterpiece In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash Mascara ($22 / £20.00)

MAC Cosmetics In Extreme Dimension 3D Lash Mascara is something worth trying! Its amazing ophthalmologist-tested formula is a lightweight whipped carbon black pigment that adds dense volume, extends length and creates curl while conditioning your lashes for softness and flexibility. It’s safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers too.
The wand features ultra-thin combs too that separate and coat your lashes evenly. What’s even a surprise is the regular edition mascara costs $2 more than this one in the Mosaic Masterpiece collection for the same volume of product! Grab one before this limited edition is taken off the shelves!
Mosaic Masterpiece Liquidlast Liner ($19.50 / £17.50)

The Mosaic Masterpiece Liquidlast Eyeliner is also like a discounted version (albeit an even more aesthetic one). With almost $3 off the price difference from their regular eyeliner, it has the same water-proof, glossy finish eyeliner that won’t smudge. Go ahead and watch that tear-jerker movie while wearing this eyeliner!
It’s ophthalmologist-tested and safe for sensitive types too. You’ll love its long-wearing and transfer-resistant formula.
Mosaic Masterpiece Kajal Crayon ($19.50 / £17.50)

This is an intensely pigmented kohl eyeliner that won’t run or smudge. The Mosaic Masterpiece Kajal Crayon is, again, ophthalmologist-tested and dermatologist-tested for optimum safe beauty standards.
Wear it on your waterline for extreme piercing tight-line eye makeup. 1.6g worth of the product will last you more than the average kohl liner and with a better formula too.
Mosaic Masterpiece Extra Dimension Skinfinish ($29.50 / £26.50)

Other than the palette, I think this highlighter is by far the prettiest of the bunch. It really shows off what the collection’s theme is all about. From its packaging to the actual product with the same intricate patterned design all over it.
The highlighter is in the popular shade “Whisper of Guilt” and for that amount of finesse in a beauty product costs almost $6 less than the regular Extra Dimension Skinfinish compact!
If you’re not familiar with the formula, it’s a “liquid-powder” highlighter that creates the most seamless dewy highlight. With a creamy powder texture, the shimmer finish is very realistic.
And guess what, of course, it’s dermatologist-tested and ophthalmologist-tested too! Great for all skin types and long-wearing makeup lovers.
Mosaic Masterpiece Lipstick ($19.50 / £17.50)

MAC always comes up with great packaging when trying to sell special or limited collections. The Mosaic Masterpiece is no different. The gold decals have this holographic-glittery shimmer to them. It’s by far the most exotic yet modest design I’ve seen on MAC packaging. And they’ve released hundreds!
They come in three new exclusive nude shades that are supposed to complement every skin tone. With a matte formula that is similar to MAC’s Retro Matte lipsticks.
- Ampersand – Terracotta brown with red undertones
- Tendercotta – Mauve red with a berry tint
- Clay Rose – Muted pink rose shade
Mosaic Masterpiece Precision Blush Brush ($36.00 / £28.00)

The collection also comes with a brush that has unfortunately sold out. It’s a true collector’s piece with the same deep navy blue colour dyed on the brush bristles. The gold lines are overlaid with the same shimmering patterns seen on the Mosaic Masterpiece lipstick packaging!
Packaging
All the products come in standard MAC sturdy plastic case packaging covered in deep navy blue. Each of the products is designed, inside and out, with stunning golden lines of perfectly geometrical patterns. It’s a beautiful set full of sophisticated intentions!
Even the glossy finish boxes they come in are lined with the same angular patterns. The only difference is that the gold and blue colouring is reversed!
Final Thoughts
If you’ve noticed a pattern with MAC’s special releases, especially on this one, it’s that they’re offering the best-selling and safest formulas for less than the regular price! You probably understand why they sell out so fast.
They’re a more exciting and lux way to enjoy the brand’s products. In addition, you can get hands-on exclusive new colours for a great artsy deal. What’s not to love?!
