Easy Hairstyles For Long Hair That Look Gorgeous

Being adventurous with your hair doesn’t mean that you need to be a professional or expert with hair. It also doesn’t mean that you need to spend a long time doing your hair. Beautiful hairstyles can be quick and easy, all you need is a little inspo!

We’ve scoured the web for the cutest, most gorgeous hairstyles for long hair that will take you no time! Ditch your regular ponytail for a more interesting and glamorous look!

1. Easy & glamorous half up

You can wear this hair look for a wedding or you can tone it down a bit for an everyday fun look! This is good for those who love wearing their hair down but still want the weight away from their face.

Easy to pull off, all you need to do is backcomb the hair that you want up and simply pin it up. Use a curling iron for some natural-looking waves.

2. Bubble effect ponytail

Are you looking for an easy, fuss-free yet classy hairstyle? Then this is the one for you! It’s away from the face which can sometimes be so much more comfortable and it’s super easy to do.

You don’t need talent and you don’t need much time either. But, I think we can all agree it gives an extremely classy and elegant look! Check out more pony ideas in our blog post on pony inspo!

3. Low curly pony

Ideal for those with curly hair, it keeps the curls out of your face. As someone with curly hair, I do love it when it’s out of my eyes. Add a little elegance to the look by wrapping a strand of hair around the bobble to cover it.

This little touch adds so much and takes a regular ponytail look to the next level! Check out more hairstyles for curly hair here.

4. Classic french braid with ribbon

Can you ever go wrong with a classic french braid? We think not! Why not spruce it up a bit by adding a ribbon of your choice to the braid? It adds some originality and personality and it looks totally cute!

It’s the perfect solution for a messy hair day, and we all have those:) Do you love french braids? Check out our post dedicated to braids!

5. Pull through braid

The lovely thing about pull-through braids is that they look so fancy and difficult to pull off, but, in reality, they are so easy! If you’re someone who’s struggled with perfecting your french braid, trust me, a pull-through braid is way simpler! And how snazzy does it look?!

6. Half-up with a bow

Dramatic and beautiful, this half-up will be a head-turner, that’s for sure! Easy and quick to do for any hair, long or short. All you need to do is make a loose half-up and add a big bow in the choice of your colour. You can wear it straight or curly, it will still look great!

7. Inside-out pigtail braids

If you love braids, then you’ll love these inside-out pigtail braids. The trick to getting inside-out braids to look glammed up is by pulling on the braid hairs to make them spread out.

It’s really simple and looks a whole lot harder than it actually is. The perfect solution for long hair that gets in your way!

8. Low twisted bun

In the bygone days, buns were reserved for old strict women. Nowadays, that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Aside from the fact that there are so many different types of buns to choose from, buns are simply a practical way to keep your shoulders and face hair-free. And with some extra twists and pins, they can look gorgeous too!

9. Long hair with bows & braids

You gotta admit, black-on-blonde is truly delightful! It’s the contrast that does it, but somehow white on black hair doesn’t quite have the same dramatic effect. This braid is super easy to recreate and it looks extremely effective. It’s another easy way to keep long hair tied back without a classic ponytail.

10. Secret French braid

I know we’re covering a lot of braids, but braids are so versatile and pretty, oh and we love the color of her hair! They are also perfect for long hair. This braided look is ideal for those who love a braid but don’t want the whole look to be a braid. This braid is subtle- you can almost miss it.

The easiest way to get this perfect is to separate the hair into sections before making the braid. Finish it off with your favourite bow or other hair decor piece.

11. Sleek low bun

Elegant, simple and totally classy! This low bun will complete any look, wear it every day or keep it for special occasions. It’s one of those timeless looks that you can’t go wrong with and is ideal for hiding thinning hair!

Easy to recreate, all you need to do is make a low ponytail and twist it around to make a customised bun. Use grip clips to help secure it!

12. Easy hairband hairstyle

Sometimes the simplest looks are the nicest ones! You can do this with short or long hair, curly or straight. It’s flexible and easy. Here’s a little tip to add more glam- pull out some hair in the front and it looks like a whole hairstyle! From drab to fab!

13. Long beach waves

Is it even legal to do a hair post without including some dope balayage and beach waves?! We think not! Beach waves don’t seem to be going out of fashion anytime soon so make the most of it while it lasts. Use a hair styling wand or even better opt for the ghd hot brush.

14. Half-up with braid

What I love most about this hairstyle is that at first glance the reaction is- wow, that’s fancy! Well, let me let you in on a little secret. It is actually really simple to copy!

Make a regular braid that is horizontal instead of vertical, and connect it to the opposite end with grip clips.

My Thoughts

Having long hair doesn’t limit you to only a few hairstyles. As you can see, there are loads of different hairstyles you can rock.

Each one that I’ve included is gorgeous and on the easier side to recreate! I hope these easy hairstyles for long hair inspire you to be creative!
